CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide lender headquartered in Plano, TX, seeks a Credit Analyst Trainee to support the Originations Department. This in-person role is based in Plano, TX and involves reviewing loan documentation to render credit decisions in line with investor guidelines.

This trainee program develops underwriting knowledge, credit analysis skills, and investor guideline expertise, preparing you to advance into a Credit Analyst role within approximately six months.

Qualifications

• Must have BA/BS in Finance, Business, Accounting, Finance or Management.
• Demonstrated aptitude for financial analysis and interpretation of documentation.
• Ability and desire to progress into a Credit Analyst role within ~6 months based on performance.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

Responsabilités

• Review loan applications, credit reports, income and asset documentation to render credit decisions per investor guidelines.
• Maintain high level of service for retailers and customers.
• Communicate loan approval or denial reasons to appropriate party.
• Refer loan requests with recommendations and documentation to underwriters and analysts.
• Analyze borrower credit profiles to identify strengths, weaknesses, and compensating factors.
• Calculate and validate borrower income, assets, and debt-to-income ratios under investor guidelines.
