Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst III in Montana to independently evaluate and underwrite complex commercial credits across CRE, C&I, hospitality, and more. You will gather financial data, assess repayment capacity, and prepare detailed analysis for decision makers.

You’ll partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to support new and existing loan relationships, focusing on credit quality and risk mitigation while mentoring junior analysts in the process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 7-9 years of banking experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites complex commercial credits and prepares analyses.
• Mentors junior analysts in credit practices and portfolio monitoring.
• Collaborates with Relationship Managers on loan relationships and risk mitigation.
• Ensures compliance with bank policies and federal regulations.
