Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Seattle or Spokane Downtown is seeking a Credit Analyst III to independently evaluate and underwrite complex commercial credits, including CRE, C&I, and municipal exposures. You will gather and analyze financial statements, perform cash flow analysis, and support loan relationships with an emphasis on credit quality and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Requires strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Able to develop and maintain internal and external relationships with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and Risk Management Personnel.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret various financial statements including tax returns, balance sheets, P&Ls, agings, debt schedules, and appraisals.
• Prepare financial spreads for commercial and real estate borrowers, municipalities, non-profits, and individuals.
• Independently analyze creditworthiness and determine risk ratings and structures.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis reports combining data visuals and narrative.
• Mentor junior analysts and support training in credit policies and procedures.
