Job summary

Substack is seeking a Product leader to own the full creator lifecycle, from onboarding to monetization and enterprise publishing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate creator needs into durable product systems, including activation flows, analytics, and publisher tooling.

Success comes from deep creator empathy, data-driven decisions, and the ability to scale platform primitives for independent writers, artists, and large-scale publishers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in creator, growth, platform, marketplace, media, or publisher-facing products.
• Strong creator empathy and understanding of how creators build audiences and monetize.
• Excellent product judgment balancing simplicity, flexibility, and power across creator segments.
• Strong analytical skills with experience defining metrics, running experiments, and cohort analysis.
• Ability to translate bespoke partner or enterprise needs into reusable systems.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy for creators across the full lifecycle, from first launch to growth and enterprise-scale publishing.
• Build systems, tooling, analytics, and platform primitives to help creators of all sizes succeed.
• Translate insights and partner needs into clear roadmaps, requirements, and shipped work.
• Onboard creators and support major publishers; turn bespoke needs into scalable capabilities.
• Define metrics, dashboards, experiments, and feedback loops to measure product impact.
• Own product storytelling and go-to-market strategy for creator-facing launches.
