Job summary

Michaels stores are seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events, including children’s parties, craft classes, and add-ons. You will engage guests, guide them through products, and ensure a smooth experience from planning to checkout.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, assisting customers, and supporting omni-channel processes while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent people skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes within the Michaels store.
• Assist customers with shopping, product location and solutions; provide fast, friendly checkout.
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; educate on VOC surveys and Omni channel processes.
• Support store operations such as truck unload, stocking, planograms and merchandise recovery.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards and SOP compliance; communicate with clients and team members.
