Job summary

The GIANT Company in New Cumberland, PA is seeking a bakery team member to join our everyday operations. You will start shifts by reviewing the schedule, gathering supplies, and complying with PPE and safety rules to perform duties efficiently.

You will frost and decorate cakes, take and fulfill orders, maintain clean surfaces, and ensure proper storage of items in the bakery cooler. The role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid identification.
• Able to read, write, and communicate to perform duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools required for this job.
• Able to perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards including regular attendance.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare required equipment and supplies at the start of the shift.
• Mix, color, and decorate frosting and cakes; frost cakes and decorate with colored frosting.
• Take, complete, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Track and record loss; adhere to food safety and sanitation practices.
