Job summary

The GIANT Company in Parkesburg, PA is hiring for a Bakery Team Member to support daily bakery operations. You will help prepare and decorate cakes, take and fulfill orders, and keep work areas clean and sanitary.

This role requires reliability, ability to stand for long periods, and a willingness to learn about food safety and safety procedures. Previous bakery or food service experience is preferred, with 4-hour shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must read, write, and communicate to perform duties and follow safety policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must wear approved clothes and shoes for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare equipment and supplies at the start of shift.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, display cases, and floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
