Job summary

The GIANT Company in New Cumberland, PA is looking for a team member to support bakery operations and store duties. You will review schedules, prepare for duties, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for the shift.

You will frost cakes, decorate, take and fulfill bakery orders, and maintain clean, safe work areas in compliance with food safety rules. This is a physical role with 4-hour shifts or more.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties and follow safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, and the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at start of shift, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes with frosting.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
