Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking an in-store Events Coordinator to plan and coordinate events, including children’s parties, within a Michaels store.

You will engage customers, assist with product selections, and support Rewards enrollments while ensuring a fast, friendly checkout experience. You will also help with omni-channel processes, truck unload, stocking, planograms, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service.
• Experience coordinating events, preferably for children.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage customers and assist with shopping, rewards enrollment, and product queries.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience and support omni channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Assist with truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; perform store recovery tasks as needed.
• Cross trained in framing selling and production; participate in daily cleanliness activities.
