Job summary

Michaels is seeking an in-store events coordinator to plan and run activity sessions, including children’s parties, inside our Wichita store. You will help customers, manage class schedules, and support checkout and merchandising while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and prior retail or customer service experience. Weekend availability and flexibility are required for events.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple events and manage guest interactions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in-store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages, help them shop, and provide solutions.
• Assist with checkout, store recovery, and merchandise duties.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Support omni-channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety per SOPs.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Complete daily store tasks like stocking and planograms.
