Job summary

Michaels is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and execute children's parties and craft classes, while delivering an exceptional guest experience in a busy retail environment.

You will demonstrate crafts, provide face painting, and guide participants through activities, ensuring safety and adherence to store standards. This role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple events and tasks daily.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to stay energetic, positive and organized in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events such as children’s parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers and assist with product selection and checkout.
• Demonstrate crafts, face painting, and activities for event participants.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Perform store tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and administrative duties.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety during setup, events, and teardown.
