Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Bartender in California to serve beverages and/or food with a focus on guest satisfaction. The role leads to a growth path including Beverage Manager/Restaurant Supervisor and Restaurant Manager within the Food & Beverage department.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean bar, garnishing drinks, checking IDs, preparing orders, handling tables when applicable, processing payments, managing intoxicated guests, and assisting with inventory and sustainability practices.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending/mixologist experience or equivalent training.
• TIPS certification is a plus.
• Food Sanitation certificate is plus and required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized bar areas.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Check identifications to verify age for alcohol.
• Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders.
• Take orders and serve/clear food and beverages to guests seated at tables in bar/lounge areas.
• Issue guest checks and complete payment process.
• Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests.
• Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Complete required side work prior to shift end.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing department and overall guest satisfaction.
• Assist with beverage inventory.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines and practices.
• Practice safe work habits, wear PPE and follow MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
