The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) seeks a Child Welfare Services Intake Specialist 2 for the CPS Intake Communication Center (CICC). The role handles intake on allegations of child abuse or neglect, documents information, prioritizes cases, and coordinates with protective services staff.

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office software.
• 2 years CPS Call Center, 911 Call Center, or other Call Center experience.
• Experience in social services programs, specifically CPS.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services.
• Obtains and documents detailed information concerning all alleged abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children.
• Reviews intake reports, assesses the severity of the circumstances and assigns a priority classification.
• Relays reports of abuse or neglect to appropriate protective services field staff.
• Documents and records information received from calls, referral, and other related correspondence.
