Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court in Boston seeks a Custodian- Edward Brooke to keep court facilities clean, orderly, and accessible. You will clean offices and restrooms, remove refuse, mow lawns, and assist with maintenance as needed. This union position operates under OPEIU Local 6.

Scheduled hours are 3:00 pm–11:00 pm with a 7.5-hour shift and a $1 per hour differential for eligible shifts; occasional travel between courts in the region may be required.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Three years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and supplies.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Dust and wet mop floors and clean restrooms and offices.
• Strip and re-wax floors and polish with a power buffer.
• Clean windows, wash walls, and replenish supplies.
• Mow lawns, shovel snow, and provide coverage for others.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor and ensure safety.
