Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court – Edward Brooke Courthouse is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance activities, assist in a variety of skilled trades, and conduct daily inspections of facility grounds and systems to ensure safe, reliable operations. Under the supervision of a Facilities Systems Supervisor, the role supports courthouses statewide, with Monday–Friday 3:00 pm–11:00 pm shifts.

This is a union position under OPEIU Local 6, and occasional travel between courts may be

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related work experience.
• Trades certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in skilled trades duties.
• Provide cleaning assistance to courthouses and grounds.
• Repair, installation and testing of systems and equipment.
• Provide systems and building checks.
• Paint, patch, and general building repairs.
