Job summary

Bexar County PA seeks a Video Conferencing Systems Manager to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive county-wide AV conferencing system.

The role oversees projects across county offices, ensures daily functionality of justice and law enforcement video equipment, and coordinates with outside agencies while managing budgets, staff and vendor relations for cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, plus five years of project management experience with two years supervisory.
• Extensive knowledge of audio/video technology and video conferencing.
• Skill in equipment needs assessment, development and implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage employees and vendors; build effective working relationships.
• Must secure and maintain background clearance; pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Manages CVCS implementation and maintenance across County offices; coordinates with outside agencies.
• Keeps criminal justice and law enforcement A/V conferencing equipment operational daily.
• Leads projects as PM, acts as technical advisor, and builds agency-wide video Conferencing system.
• Serves on technical advisory committees and helps scope projects.
• Develops annual/long-term CVCS projects; drafts RFPs and reviews bids.
• Administers CVCS budget and ensures cost-effective operations.
• Manages development of A/V conferencing software applications; trains users.
• Evaluates hardware and networking options; recommends funding.
• Develops and implements A/V training programs for staff at various levels.
• Oversees design, installation, configuration and upgrades to equipment.
• Presents status updates to Commissioners Court.
• Performs related duties as required.
