Universal Services is the enterprise IT solutions center for the departments and offices of Harris County, providing Information Technology, Public Safety and Justice Technologies, 311 Constituent Engagement Services, Fleet Services, and Records and Information Governance Services.

The Systems Engineer – Video Services is responsible for supporting and maintaining the County’s video conferencing and streaming infrastructure, with a focus on A/V over IP technologies. This role ensures continuous availability of video services for Commissioners’ Court, Multi-Purpose and Conference Rooms. The engineer plays a critical role in system configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and providing 24/7 support for video endpoints, recording systems, and livestream environments.
Provide technical support for the Commissioners Court live streaming via service provider.
Install and update software & firmware for AV related devices.
Design and manage AV projects between vendor and customer.
Update configuration of Crestron, Extron, QSC and AMX control systems
Update and maintain AV assets in monitoring tools.
Provide backup support for AV Architect and their duties.
Provide technical support AV and video conferencing systems.
