Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Autumn Lake at Scotch Plains. Support residents as they relearn familiar tasks and develop new ways to manage daily activities, providing skilled nursing rehabilitation under the supervising Occupational Therapist's direction.
Translate the OT's established treatment plan into hands-on sessions focused on daily living goals.
Practice dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting with residents at their appropriate level of assistance.
Incorporate prescribed exercises and functional activities to address coordination, upper-extremity function, and endurance.
Help residents become comfortable using adaptive equipment and compensatory techniques recommended by the OT.
Communicate changes in resident abilities, participation, and treatment tolerance to the supervising therapist.
Record interventions and responses accurately, sharing care strategies with nursing and other rehabilitation staff.
$35–$38 per hour.
PRN assignments arranged around your availability and facility coverage needs.

Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy Assistant license and COTA certification.
