Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Salem County in Salem, NJ. Support residents receiving skilled nursing rehabilitation by helping them practice everyday tasks, develop functional skills, and use strategies that make daily routines more manageable.
What You'll Do
Deliver occupational therapy services within the treatment plan established by the supervising OT.
Work with residents on dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting, providing assistance and instruction suited to their abilities.
Incorporate prescribed activities that build coordination, upper-extremity function, and endurance for daily tasks.
Reinforce adaptive equipment use, energy conservation techniques, and safety recommendations.
Observe functional changes and discuss residents' progress or treatment concerns with the OT.
Document care promptly and collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to support carryover between sessions.
