Help skilled nursing residents build independence through treatment that connects rehabilitation goals with their personal care needs and familiar routines.
What You'll Do
Carry out the supervising Occupational Therapist's plan of care through individualized treatment activities.
Coach residents through dressing, grooming, toileting, and bathing tasks using appropriate assistance and cueing.
Lead prescribed activities that develop upper-extremity function, coordination, and tolerance for everyday tasks.
Reinforce adaptive equipment use and techniques for completing activities safely and efficiently.
Share observations about functional progress, participation, and emerging concerns with the OT.
Complete timely treatment notes and collaborate with nursing and rehab colleagues to encourage consistent use of therapy strategies.
