Job summary

Ultimate Therapy Services seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake in Scotch Plains, NJ. This full-time role supports residents' independence in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting, under the supervision of a licensed OT.

You will treat ADLs, mobility, and exercise programs, document progress, and collaborate with PTs, SLPs, and nursing staff. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity strengthening, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet each resident's goals.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, safety techniques, and therapeutic exercises.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team.

This full-time opportunity is ideal for a clinician who enjoys helping residents maximize independence and improve daily function in a collaborative skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.

What You'll Do
