Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver patient-centered care under the supervision of an OT. You will document progress and participate in goal-directed treatments while collaborating with the care team.

You must hold a valid state license and be committed to punctual, professional practice in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Document patient progress on weekly notes and maintain timely records.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
