Palmetto Subacute Care Center is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Florida. The role involves delivering supervised therapy aligned with OT goals, maintaining timely progress notes, and collaborating with the rehabilitation team to ensure patient-centered care in a long-term/geriatric setting.

Candidates must hold a valid COTA license and demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong documentation skills within a multidisciplinary care environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid professional license and registration for the state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of the Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment adhering to specific goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation or other required methods.
