Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our rehabilitation team. You will apply best practice treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and help patients reach goals through structured activities.

You will document progress weekly, collaborate with all disciplines, and maintain professional standards. A valid state license, experience in geriatric or long-term care, and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state license and registration as a COTA.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed in documentation writing and weekly progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment aligned with OT goals and notify progress.
• Document patient progress weekly and adhere to facility policies.
• Report to work on time and maintain professionalism at all times.
