Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support therapy services under the supervision of our Occupational Therapist. You will provide treatment aligned with established goals, document progress, and communicate with the rehabilitation team.

Candidates must hold a valid COTA license for the state, with LTC/geriatric experience preferred. Excellent patient care and timely documentation are essential in this role at our Florida facility.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment aligned with goals set by the OT.
• Document patient progress and communicate with supervising therapist.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure patient-centered care.
