Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will document patient progress and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid license/registration and have experience in long-term or geriatric care. Punctuality, professionalism, and strong documentation skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide feedback to supervision occupational therapist via documentation or policy requirements.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered care.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
