Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver best-practice treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will support OT goals and assist with progress documentation.

Candidates should hold a valid state license, have experience in long-term or geriatric care when possible, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Well versed with documentation writing and weekly progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered treatment and care.
• Exhibits exceptional patient service skills and clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours, and maintain professionalism.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervision occupational therapist via documentation or other policy.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Adhere to facility policy and professional standards; serve as a team member.
