Job summary

L&R Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Field Merchandiser to ensure products are stocked, displayed, and properly organized in assigned retail locations across the Charleston, WV area. You will support store resets, implement planograms, relocate products, and ensure displays meet company and retailer standards.

Territories include Charleston, Barboursville, Saint Albans and Dunbar, WV. Hours run up to 28 per week with potential to transition to full-time after meeting 60 days and 30+ hours

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising or retail experience.
• Familiarity with resets and planograms is a plus.
• Retail sales and inventory control knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with tablets and smartphones.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Place orders for inventory using a company tablet and scanner.
• Service store routes per call frequencies with the District Manager.
• Follow store visit process including merchandising delivery, forms, photos, and stock maintenance.
• Implement planograms and schematics to reset displays per instructions.
• Ensure resets meet L&R standards and timelines.
• Install and adjust shelving and fixtures to match planograms.
• Process customer returns per guidelines.
• Stay informed about sales promotions, invoicing, exchanges, and returns.
• Maintain communication with Store Associates after visits.
• Verify shipments with store personnel.
• Provide professional communication with Store Management.
• Clean and organize display areas.
• Conduct store surveys and take photos to resolve issues.
• Service additional stores as needed.
