Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Albany, GA is hiring Maintenance Technicians for our Corrugated facility. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep equipment running and safe.

You will work a 12-hour, 2-2-3 rotation with shifts from 7:00a–7:00p or 7:00p–7:00a, and overtime including holidays and weekends as needed. Relocation incentives are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
• Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
