Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Albany, GA seeks an Electrical Technician for our Lumber facility. The role supports production by maintaining and repairing electrical systems, drives, and instrumentation to ensure continuous operations.

The position offers starting pay of $30/hr, with overtime and experience-based pay increases. You will work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, with orientation and on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial controls PLCs, motor controls, drives, and electrical distribution.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, and temperature.
• Experience reading and following electrical and mechanical schematics / blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all electrical equipment to ensure production continuity and efficiency.
• Work with automation, production, and computer systems to improve operations.
• Research parts in electrical/mechanical manuals and submit order forms.
• Communicate daily work performed and machine conditions via written and verbal documentation.
