Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Augusta, GA is looking for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to keep corrugated box machinery running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot electrical motors, frequency drives, PLCs, sensors and relays and perform routine preventive maintenance.

This 2-2-3 shift schedule starts on 7A-7P and 7P-7A with 1 month of training on 7A-5P. Candidates must be flexible for all shifts, holidays and overtime; bring your own basic tools and a self-starting, disciplined work ethic.

Qualifications

• 2+ years maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical AND electrical issues.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing industrial corrugated box making machinery.
• Troubleshooting electrical motors, frequency drives, PLCs, proximity sensors, limit switches and relays.
• Troubleshooting industrial electrical issues (12vdc to 480vac).
• Performing routine scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Responding to unscheduled floor calls by troubleshooting and repairing with a sense of urgency.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision‑measuring devices, and testing instruments.
• Willing and able to work any shift, holiday, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Provide your own basic hand tools and rolling toolbox.
• Have a self‑starting and disciplined work ethic
• Problem solving with team members.
