Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking a corrosion technician to apply knowledge in repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining cathodic protection systems across pipeline and plant facilities. The role requires attention to regulatory compliance, coating evaluation, and corrosion data management.

You will perform surveys, collect samples, analyze corrosion conditions, and contribute to safety and operational reliability in a large energy infrastructure network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to train other technicians and sign off on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, operate, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations and SOPs.
• Perform pipe-to-soil potential surveys and related readings.
• Evaluate coating condition and perform remaining strength calculations.
• Understand internal corrosion mechanisms and mitigation measures.
• Participate in PHMSA or State regulatory audits.
