Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a corrosion technician to repair, install, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain equipment and facilities pertaining to gas and liquid pipelines. The role emphasizes cathodic protection system work, surveying, coating evaluation, documentation, and adherence to SOPs and regulations.

Responsibilities include data collection, safety compliance, and collaboration during audits, with opportunities for advancement within an award-winning organization.

Qualifications

  • Must maintain valid driver’s license in state of residency.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite products.
  • Ability to train other technicians and/or sign off on qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, operate, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems per SOPs.
  • Perform pipe-to-soil and other readings; document data in corrosion databases.
  • Evaluate coating condition, perform remaining strength calculations, and repair as needed.
  • Conduct corrosion monitoring and testing, including pH and H2S analysis.
  • Read maps, PLDs, and as-builts; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in PHMSA/state audits and participate in safety programs.
