Job summary

Shawntech-Communications-Inc. is seeking a technically versatile Telecommunications Technician to support inmate technology systems at Noble Correctional facilities.

The role involves servicing inmate phones, video visitation systems, and inmate tablets, with daily data entry and on-site customer interaction. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in telecom installation, repair, and troubleshooting, plus strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications installation, repair, and troubleshooting of inmate communications systems.
• 2 years of experience with computer or network installation and repair.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, correcting, and servicing issues with inmate technology systems.
• Maintain, repair, and operate onsite telecommunications hardware, networking hardware/software, access points, and wiring at correctional facilities.
• Address basic telephone repair and maintenance needs of the facility.
• Meet all service requirements as set forth by the customer contract.
• Build and maintain relationships with facility personnel and customer contacts; interface with staff, vendors, and contractors to resolve onsite problems.
• Monitor time and control service-related expenses.
• Deliver services in a timely and effective manner to ensure optimal system performance.
• Provide onsite instruction and training for site personnel as necessary.
