Staff Today Inc. is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a position in Waverly, VA. The role involves direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting, with a day shift from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and a local pay rate of $42.30 per hour (W2).

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of recent RN experience, VA licensure, and be able to work within a team to deliver high-quality patient care in a safe, managed environment.

Formación

• Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 10+ years within the last 3 years of recent RN experience.
• Copy of Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 10+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
