Staff Today Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Jarratt, VA. This 12-hour shift role offers local pay of $36.00 per hour (W2) and a chance to provide essential patient care in a correctional healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Current VA license/certification as LPN in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist with patients' healthcare needs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocols.
• Check vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report concerns to the healthcare team.
• Assist with routine health screenings, sick calls, and basic nursing procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document care provided.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.

Shift Details: 12 hour Dayshift - 6:30 am to 7:00 pm; Nightshift - 6:30 pm to 7:00 am

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist with patients’ healthcare needs.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Check vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report concerns to the healthcare team.
• Assist with routine health screenings, sick calls, and basic nursing procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document care provided.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.
• Assist patients with basic healthcare needs and perform other nursing duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a LPN.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
