Job summary

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse position with Amergis Healthcare Staffing travels to healthcare facilities to provide general and emergency nursing care in correctional settings, while maintaining security standards. The role supports adults and children in custody across multiple sites.

Requirements include an active Practical Nursing license for the applicable state, 1 year corrections experience preferred, CPR if applicable, health certificate, and being at least 18 years old.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close andimmediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basisproviding general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatorysection of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility securitystandards.

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in theapplicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
