Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of a Corrections Facility, while conforming to security standards.

The role requires a current LPN license in the applicable state, and may require CPR and health certification per contract or regulation; travel between locations is possible.

Qualifications

• Requires current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable and health certificate may be required by contract or regulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of the Corrections Facility.
• Maintain facility security standards while delivering care.
• Care for adults and children in custody on a daily basis.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close andimmediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basisproviding general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatorysection of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility securitystandards.

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in theapplicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
