Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse to work in corrections facilities in North Carolina. The role involves close contact with adults and children in custody, providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections while maintaining security standards.

The ideal candidate holds a current Practical Nursing License in NC, has at least one year of corrections experience, and maintains CPR and health certification as required.

Qualifications

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of the Corrections Facility.
• Maintains facility security standards during patient care.
