Osceola County Sheriff's Office is seeking a mid-to-senior level corrections supervisor to train, oversee, and evaluate Sergeants, Corporals, and Corrections Officers within a detention facility. The role focuses on safety, compliance, and efficient operations across shifts.

The position requires a Florida Corrections Certification and may include night shift differential pay. The candidate will work with the Captain on security, inmate programs, and incident reporting, ensuring safety for staff

Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of a criminal justice command academy training or ability to complete within 12 months of appointment.
• Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervises, trains and evaluates Corrections staff according to procedures and regulatory standards.
• Supports planning and implementation of Corrections goals and objectives.
• Manages care and control of offenders, ensuring safety and order.
• Ensures compliance with laws and regulations governing detention facilities.
• Conducts rounds, inspections, and inmate screening; monitors fire safety and key control.
• Participates in Defensive Tactics training and firearm qualifications.
