Osceola County is seeking a mid- to senior-level Corrections Manager to oversee Sergeants, Corporals, and Officers, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the facility. You will supervise staff, coordinate training, and contribute to emergency planning and response.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, adherence to policy, and effective incident documentation. Night shift differential pay is available, and the position requires Florida Corrections Certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess Florida State Corrections Certification and Certified Jail Manager certification or be able to obtain within 12 months.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in a certified corrections position including at least four years as a Certified Corrections Supervisor and two years as a Certified Corrections Sergeant.
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains and evaluates Corrections staff; conducts in-service training and shift briefings.
• Supports leadership in planning, organizing, and implementing corrections goals and objectives.
• Manages care, custody, and control of inmates; monitors housing, job assignments, and programs.
• Ensures compliance with laws, rules, and regulatory standards; maintains safety and security.
