Job summary

Osceola County Sheriff's Office – Sheriff Christopher A. Blackmon seeks an Inmate Services Supervisor to assist in supervising administrative, supervisory, and professional work for the Inmate Services unit.

The role ensures compliance with federal/state rules and oversees court documentation and inmate processing. The position requires an associate degree and 2 years of related experience, with leadership duties and Florida driver’s license prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or closely related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience in Inmate Records, Bonds and Dockets, Inmate Programming, Inmate Classification, Probation, Pretrial Release, and/or Community Corrections.
• Equivalent education/training/experience may be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
• FCIC/NCIC certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Inmate Services Supervisor in planning, organizing, and implementing division goals and activities.
• Supervise staff schedules, training, and performance; ensure compliance with laws and standards.
• Oversee court documentation processing, inmate releases, and record keeping within Jail Management System.
• Coordinate with Judiciary, Pre-Trial Release, Probation, Clerk of the Court, and Public Defenders Office.
• Participate in program development, budgeting, and revenue/expenditure monitoring.
