Job summary

Warren Correctional Institution seeks a Correctional Lieutenant II to oversee operations at a medium custody male facility. You will supervise shifts, coordinate staff discipline and schedules, and ensure safety and order across housing units and posts.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2.5 years as a Correctional Sergeant, or 2 years as a Correctional Sergeant II, or equivalent. The role includes 24/7 coverage and benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years six months of experience as a Correctional Sergeant, OR two years as Correctional Sergeant II, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of prison policies and facility operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift supervisor and first line supervisor of Sergeant II staff.
• Act as Officer in Charge in the absence of the Captain II.
• Coordinate discipline, schedules, and welfare of inmates as needed.
• Review applications, monthly reports, and offender concerns for timely action.
• Inspect housing units, posts, and grounds to ensure safety and order.
• Serve on offender classification and incident command teams when required.
• Prepare a variety of records and reports for leadership.
