Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for the Corrections team in Westminster, MD. You will coordinate and supervise staff to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes training and leading a team, maintaining high food quality, portion control and timing, with opportunities to contribute to inmate meal service and program support. This is an onsite position with Elior North America.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience supervising a team and providing friendly, helpful service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meals begin on time and maintaining quality in appearance, portion size, and temperature.
