Job summary

Summit, a unit of Elior North America, is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for the Corrections team in Westminster, MD. In this role you will coordinate and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will train employees in food service and sanitation, ensure on-time meal service, and monitor portion, appearance and temperature; the position offers full-time onsite work with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time, and ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.
