Job summary

Shawntech-Communications-Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a reliable telecommunications technician to support inmate phone, video visitation, and inmate tablet systems within a correctional facility.

You will perform installation, repair, and troubleshooting, and handle daily data entry and on-site training for site personnel. Candidates should have 2+ years in telecom, network installation/repair, fiber/wire/cabling knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

2+ years in telecommunications including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of inmate systems.
2 years of experience with computer/network installation and repair.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to pass criminal background screens.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and servicing inmate technology systems.
Maintain, repair, and operate onsite telecom hardware, networking gear, APs and wiring.
Address basic telephone repair and maintenance needs.
Build relationships with facility personnel and customer contacts.
Deliver services timely to ensure optimal system performance.
