Job summary

Shawntech-Communications-Inc. seeks a Site Administrator Technician to handle both administrative and technical duties in correctional facilities. You will manage inmate call control systems, perform hardware maintenance, and coordinate with facility staff and vendors.

Strong data entry, customer service, and travel readiness are essential. The role requires experience with telephony, networking, VLANs, and VOIP, with daily site visits and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications, including installation, repair and troubleshooting.
• 2+ years of experience with computer/network installation and repair.
• Strong data entry and customer service skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.
• Must pass criminal background checks and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and service inmate call control systems and telecommunication equipment.
• Maintain, repair, and operate onsite telecommunications hardware and networking gear.
• Coordinate with facility personnel, vendors, and contractors to resolve onsite issues.
• Provide onsite instruction and training to site personnel as needed.
