The Coordinator, Payroll is a 12-month professional non-exempt position located at Pensacola State College’s Pensacola Campus. The Coordinator, Payroll is involved with the college payroll to ensure the process is accomplished timely and accurately. This position ensures that the labor distribution from the bi-weekly payroll reconciles with the College’s accounting system and implements new and changed position assignments within the personnel and payroll database in the maintenance of records associated with the payroll process. Reports to the Director, Payroll Services.

Minimum Qualifications :Graduation from with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related business field from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College, two years full-time accounting or payroll experience required. Two years of experience can substitute for one year of education.Knowledgeable in database software, payroll systems, spreadsheet programs, and word processing. Certified Payroll Professional certification is preferred. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
SALARY RANGE: $57,500.00 - $65,000.00 ($29.49 - $33.33/hour)
