Job Description:

The Human Resources Representative is a part-time position locatedon the Pensacola campus. This position performs general humanresources functions with the College’s records management, salaryand service verifications, new hire and onboarding tasks, and otherrelated functions. This role assists with general departmentalprocesses to support employment, leave management, documentretention and/or production, responding to requests forinformation, and other assigned duties; prepares and processesrequired documents for retention to employee Workday accounts, anddepartmental records; and assists with the creation and upkeep ofelectronic records related to HR personnel files.

This position reviews and confirms data within reports for accuracyand completion; assists with required labor law, announcements,and/or other postings within the department; assists withpreparation of documents in relation to public records and attorneyrequests for records; and assists in preparing records anddocuments needed for accreditation studies, audits, andadministration’s specific requests.

This position is the first line of communication for the HumanResources department; therefore, it is imperative the selectedcandidate possess the ability to demonstrate exceptionalface-to-face, telephone, electronic, and written customer serviceskills to employees, retirees, applicants, students, visitors, andsuppliers. The candidate selected must have the ability toprioritize and organize workload, meet deadlines, provide attentionto detail, and follow-through on assignments; demonstrate knowledgeand use of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) in a networked office setting, humanresources software, and internet navigation; exercise stronginterpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintaineffective working relationships with employees; and handlesensitive matters and materials with the utmost discretion.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school orpossession of a GED equivalent and two (2) years of documentedoffice experience are required. Completion of college courseworkmay substitute for up to one (1) year of the required experience.Successful completion of a criminal background check isrequired.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in humanresources or in a personnel-related function is preferred.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibilityrequirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A FloridaDepartment of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition ofemployment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverseinformation contained in the background investigation at the timeof submitting the employment application will be disqualified fromemployment.

SALARY:

$16.54/hour for 25 - 29 hours per week
