Duties
SUMMARY Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Coordinator of Admissions and Recruitment is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Admissions Office concerning all areas of the admissions process, new student recruitment, Photo ID, and Admissions events. The Coordinator of Admissions and Recruitment will provide support to the Admissions office, at the direction of the Director, in the areas of Photo ID management, technology support, event planning, and special projects. The Coordinator of Admissions and Recruitment is dedicated to learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote new student recruitment, student success, and lifelong learning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- 1. Assist with maintaining day-to-day operations of the college's CRM system, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and proper segmentation.
- 2. Support recruitment and enrollment initiatives by managing prospective student data and creating targeted communication and onboarding campaigns for prospective and newly admitted students through the Salesforce CRM.
- 3. Maintains, in collaboration with director, the integrity, accuracy, and quality of data within the Salesforce CRM by performing ongoing data quality control activities, including identity verification, processing data change requests, standardizing records, resolving duplicate contacts, validating required data fields, and collaborating with Information Technology staff to maintain effective integration between the College's CRM and Student Information System (SIS).
- 4. Serve as the liaison between Information Technology and Student Development to monitor, investigate, and mitigate ghost student and fraudulent applicant activity, including the evaluation, implementation, and oversight of fraud detection software and related technologies.
- 5. Assist with the integration of the Common Application with the Student Information System (SIS), including integration through Salesforce CRM and any current or future state or federally mandated application systems.
- 6. Develops, implements, maintains, and communicates CRM knowledge base frameworks, standards, procedures, tools, training materials, and support resources to ensure effective system utilization, data integrity, and a positive user experience for staff and stakeholders.
- 7. Assist with walk-in appointments during high-volume periods when additional Admissions Recruiter support is needed.
- 8. Support the Director in compiling monthly reports on campaign performance, enrollment trends, and student engagement to inform decision-making.
- 9. Participate in regularly scheduled project meetings, as needed.
- 10. Represent the department and division in the absence of the Director.
- 11. Coordinate, collaborate with other departments, and lead ongoing special recruitment projects.
- 12. At the direction of the Director, collaborate with other areas of the college to develop and coordinate programs and events that focus on the recruitment of new students and monitor progress and effectiveness.
- 13. Work with the Director to monitor and maintain customer service standards as outlined by Moraine Valley Community College.
- 14. Ability to work with a diverse population of students and their families, faculty, and staff to handle difficult situations; ability to work independently.
- 15. Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.
Education/Experience
Required Education: Minimum of an Associate's degree OR 60 or more equivalent earned college credit hours.
Required Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience in higher education, preferably experience with integrated databases and Student Information Systems.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students and community members.
- Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with technology such as MS Office, CRM preferably Salesforce.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work with diverse student and employee populations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven abilities to work as a team member.
- Ability to be proactive regarding issues including but not limited to processes, personnel, and procedures.
